Beth is an experienced corporate governance adviser having worked in management consulting specialising in governance, leading corporate law firms and in-house with superannuation funds. Beth offers a range of governance services, including conducting workshops on what good governance means for your organisation, aligning directors, committee members and executives with a shared vision. Beth works with a range of different boards, including financial services, school, corporate, for-purpose and not-for-profit boards.
Beth has nearly 30 years’ experience as a solicitor and a consultant specialising in corporate, trust and superannuation law and corporate governance and is an experienced Non Executive Director.
Beth is an Independent Non Executive Director of NULIS Nominees (Australia) Limited, trustee of MLC superannuation funds, as well as IOOF Investment Management Limited, OnePath Custodians Pty Limited and Oasis Fund Management Limited, trustees of IOOF and OnePath superannuation funds.
Beth is also Chair of Jesuit Education Australia and a Member of the Child Safety and Risk Management Board Committee of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools.
Beth has 9 years of dispute resolution experience, having been an Industry Panel Member at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority for close to 4 years and having sat on the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal for over 5 years until it ceased operations at the end of 2020. Beth has previously held other roles, including Independent Consultant to the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee at UniSuper, Chair of the CatholicCare Melbourne Advisory Committee and sat on the Xavier College council and board for close to seven years.
She is passionate about improving the way boards and teams work together. Beth’s focus is on cutting through complexity and offering practical solutions – bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Beth holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Master of Commercial Law from The University of Melbourne. Beth is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, trained at the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership and has completed the course in Leadership Communications at Harvard University.
